    Redwood National Park

It stretches over 75452 acres with 19640 acres of old gove redwood forest. Follow Howland Hill Road, a beautiful drive which follows the historic stagecoach routes to Oregon. Stop at Magical Stout Grove an outstanding grove of old growth redwoods where you will find the 345 foot tall Stout Tree, one of the largest in the Park. Visit Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, the setting in the Star Wars saga, Return of the Jedi, or just enjoy any of the many magnificent hikes or mountain biking trails.

    This river’s emerald waters and soaring canyon walls comprise one of the largest wild and scenic rivers in America. This spectacular river is located in the Smith River National Recreation Area, a 305000 acre region that offers access to swimming, hiking, picnicking, kayaking, whitewater rafting & steelhead & salmon fishing.

    Battery Point Lighthouse
    This historic lighthouse was built in 1856 and is located on a small island 100 feet offshore. it is accessible only by foot at low tide. This active lighthouse which serves as a private aid to navigation offers tours to the public.

    St. George Lighthouse
    Due to progress in restoration efforts, the SGRLPS is now offering helicopter flights and tours of the lighthouse to the public. The tours will be scheduled, weather permitting, October through June of each year. Departing from the Crescent City Airport in a four place Raven R-44 helicopter, passengers enjoy a six minute flight to the lighthouse, landing on a 42 foot wide section of the caisson roof, near the base of the tower. From there they are greeted by Society Representatives and taken for a one hour tour.

    Marine Mammal Center
    Observe seals and sea lions during a self-guided tour in this one of three mammal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centers in California. Learn how these mammals are rehabilitated prior to their release back to their natural habitat.

    Klamath River Jet Boat Rides
    Join the Klamath River jet Boat Crew on an exciting 50 mile ride up the Klamath River. Observe bountiful wildlife such as seals and California sea lions, ospreys, wild cows and California black bears. Learn about local Native American culture and the River's rich history. Enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner at the River's West Lodge up river.

    Horseback Riding

    Del Norte Golf Course
    Del Norte golf course is a 9 hole, par 71 golf course located in Crescent City, California and within walking distance of the Redwoods National Park. It is a walkable course but carts are available. The rates are very reasonable for both 9 and 18 holes.

    Del Norte Historical Society Museum
    Located in Crescent City, this museum features local Yurok and Tolowa Indian artifacts, a research facility as well as logging and mining equipment. It is also the home of the original Fresnel lens from the Point St. George Lighthouse.

    Fishing
    Ocean Charters are available for salmon, snapper and ling cod. The Smith and Klamath Rivers are world famous for Chinook Salmon, Steelhead and Cutthroat Trout.

    Indoor City Pool
    Experience the excitement of a 90 foot waterslide at the Fred Endert's indoor swimming pool in Crescent City. Open to the public at various times throughout the day.

    Lake Earl Wildlife Area
    The marshes, dunes and lakes of this 5000 acre State Park provide habitats for over 250 species of birds. Hiking trails offer excellent vantage points for bird watching.

    Rogue River Jet Boat Tours
    The Rogue River Canyon abounds in a variety of wildlife that can be viewed on all trips. This Unique canyon was set aside by the federal government in 1968 as a part of our National Wild and Scenic River system. Enjoy one of the three available tours, ranging from 64 - 104 miles upriver, round trip. Upriver overnight "Wilderness Packages " are available at Half Moon Bar Lodge and Paradise Bar Lodge 52 miles upriver.
